Exploring 'Fall'

Hawthorn Hill students had a fun-filled Summer that was enriched with outside of the classroom experiences like Acres of Exploration, Cheerleading, Parkour, and Musical Theatre!  Though Summer ‘vacation’ may be officially over, we are continuing to implement some of the activities we have developed over the Summer into our school-year curriculum!

Today the tide officially brought in Fall, and we could not be more excited for this new school year!  We are thrilled to WELCOME back all of our students for the new school year!

Our Preschool Two friends started their day by telling us what the ‘Fall’ season means to them; here are a few of their great responses:

I.O. weather changes

K.K. apple picking

C.H. close the pool & pumpkins

T.R. raking leaves

O.S. jumping in leaves & Halloween

T.M. pie

After their lesson time inside, the boys and girls went on an outdoor exploration walk to look for their very own ‘Fall findings’ that they could incorporate into an art project.

In the afternoon, our Preschool 1 friends followed Preschool 2’s lead, and went on a Fall scavenger hunt! The boys and girls were so excited to find all of the acorns before the chipmunks and squirrels could hide them away, because after all they need to eat this winter!

We are excited for what is instore for this Fall at Hawthorn Hill - stay tuned!
